Humly Release 2.2: Smarter Booking, Stronger Integrations, Solid Foundations

News / 19.02.26

Humly Release 2.2 has arrived, introducing smarter ways to book, deeper integrations, and a modernised technical foundation. Designed to blend seamlessly into the workspace while standing out in performance, this latest update focuses on delivering a more intuitive user experience alongside long-term reliability and scalability.

Below is an overview of what’s new in Release 2.2.

Interactive Floor Plan Booking

Booking a space should feel natural. With Humly’s new Interactive Floor Plan Booking, it now does.

Users can view the office layout and book rooms directly from a visual map, combining wayfinding and booking into one smooth workflow. Instead of switching between systems or guessing availability, employees can see exactly where they’re heading and secure the space in seconds.

For organisations with larger installations and complex environments, this means fewer failed meetings and improved space utilisation. For partners, it reinforces the strength and cohesion of the full Humly ecosystem.

A new standalone kiosk mode also supports self-service booking via touch displays, complete with PIN authentication, idle timeout auto-reset, and optimised layouts for portrait or landscape orientation.

Humly Visitor Pro Outlook Add-In

Visitor management should not operate in isolation. Release 2.2 introduces the Humly Visitor Pro Outlook Add-In, enabling hosts to invite visitors directly from Microsoft Outlook while creating a calendar event.

There are no additional systems to open and no duplicate processes. Booking and visitor management are connected within the same familiar workflow, making it easier to manage meetings and guests into one seamless experience.

QR Booking

Sometimes the fastest way to book is right in front of you.

With QR Booking, users can simply scan a code to instantly reserve a room or desk. No additional hardware is required. The process is intuitive and efficient, reducing friction in busy offices and supporting flexible, spontaneous work patterns without adding complexity to IT infrastructure.

Q-SYS Sensor Integration

Workplace intelligence is most powerful when it’s actionable.

Release 2.2 integrates Q-SYS sensors with Humly’s booking platform, connecting real-time occupancy data to booking and reporting insights. This enables more accurate space usage and smarter decision-making.

In advanced or regulated environments, sensor-driven insight adds another layer of clarity and control, creating one cohesive ecosystem without seams.

A Modernised Backend

While much of Release 2.2 is visible to users, significant work has also taken place behind the scenes.

The platform has been upgraded to MogoDB 7.28 and Metereo 3.3.2 (with Node 22.18.0), strengthening performance, security, scalability, and long-term reliability.

For large enterprises and security-focused organisations, this backend modernisation ensures greater stability today and readiness for tomorrow.
