Seamless Integration with Third-Party Sensors

Humly Sense works with third-party sensor providers such as Disruptive Technologies to gather accurate readings of:


  • Carbon dioxide (CO2)
  • Temperature
  • Humidity
  • Motion (for automation features)


These readings are clearly presented on the top bar of the Humly Room Display, ensuring vital environmental information is always within reach.


How to Set Up Humly Sense Integration


Step 1: Create a Service Account in Disruptie Technologies Studio

  1. Log in to Disruptive Technologies Studio and select the project
  2. Navigate to API integrations > Service Accounts
  3. Create a new service account and assign it to the Project Developer role
  4. Generate a Key Secret and save the following details: Service Account Email, Key ID, Secret (displayed only once)


Step 2: Enable Sensor Integration in Humly Control Panel

  1. Open the Humly Control Panel and go to the Settings page
  2. Check the box for Enable Sensor Integration
  3. Choose Disruptive Technologies as the sensor distributor
  4. Input the Service Account Email, Key ID, and Secret, then save.
  5. A confirmation message will appear once the credentials are successfully stored


Step 3: Configure Sensors for Each Room

  1. In the Control Panel, navigate to Resources and select the desired room
  2. Click Edit Selected and scroll to the Sensors section
  3. Assign the appropriate sensor for each category: CO2, temperature, humidity, motion (optional)
  4. Customise threshold values for each sensor, or use the default ranges
  5. Save the configuration. Sensor data will now be visible both in the Control Panel and on the HRD interface


Sensor Displays on Humly Room Displays

Each Humly Room Display will show sensor icons in the top bar. Tapping an icon reveals the current reading, helping teams make decisions based on the room’s real-time environment.


Optional: Configure Motion Sensors on Humly Booking Devices (HBDs)

Humly Booking Devices can also be paired with motion sensors to support automatic room booking:

  • When motion is detected, the room is automatically booked
  • If no motion is detected after a set period, the room is released again
  • Phone Booth Mode can be enabled for small spaces or quick meetings


Configuration steps:

  • Select the resources in the Humly Control Panel
  • Assign the motion sensor
  • Enable Phone Booth Mode and save the settings
