OPUS Series deliver high performance

News / 22.03.19

It is a powerful range of three HDMI-to-HDBaseT matrix switchers with fully independent audio matrixing, and a single receiver, for transmission and extension of high performance 4K with HDR and 4:4:4 chroma subsampling.

Opus switchers, supporting UltraHD, are ideal for multi-zone, whole-house residential AV distribution, as well as light commercial, education and corporate projects that require compatibility with new and emerging devices for 4K presentations.

Connections

Each matrix switcher has Type A, 19 pin female, locking, HDMI connectors and unbalanced stereo audio on 3 pin captive screw inputs and TOSLINK fibre ‘optical digital audio cables’.

Simultaneous TOSLINK and analogue stereo outputs provided for each HDBaseT and HDMI output with volume, mute, and five-band EQ for each output.

HDBaseT on RJ45 outputs for transmission of HMDI up to 330 feet (100 meters) to the purpose-built, Opus receiver, or to allow for local HDMI & HDBaseT switching, the Juno 4x1 receiver/switcher.

In addition, there are two extra HDMI outputs. The signals passed though are Ethernet, bi-directional IR (2 pin captive screw) & RS232 (3 pin captive screw) control.

The range consists of 4x6 (4 input by 6 output), 6x8, and 8x10.

Picture quality

Visually lossless VESA Display Stream Compression (DSC) delivers extremely high, pristine image quality and 4K/UHD video (including HDR10) at 60Hz with 4:4:4 signal extension over HDBaseT with zero latency.

Ease of install

Flexible siting, easy set-up, and control of the matrix switcher itself is made possible with a comprehensive range of control system integration (Atlona Velocity or any 3rd party), IR control (remote supplied), GUI-based integrated web server, and local, front panel control.

The ultra-quiet, 2U enclosure, can be used free-standing or mounted in a rack (mounting brackets supplied).

Providing exceptional flexibility for the custom installer, the matrix switcher also has 2 additional HDMI outputs.

Installing CAT6a or CAT7 shielded twisted pair cable (highly recommended to achieve optimal HDBaseT performance), between the switcher and receiver, is quick, easy and economical.

Using the purpose-built Opus receiver with PoE (power over Ethernet), removes the need for power at the display.

And for additional convenience, interfaces IR, RS-232 and Ethernet control for displays while also allowing IR control transmission back to a source device.

Remote set-up and commissioning is also available via the Atlona Management System (AMS).
