  • Programming the touch panel using the default templates
  • Using the IR code database and learning IR codes
  • Using the wireless RX8001 IR extender
  • Using the wired RX9001 advanced extender for 1-way RS232, relay, IR control and power sensing inputs for reliable IR control of power on or off
  • Browsing and controlling audio servers such as the Escient Fireball, and others

Benefits

Learn how to program the latest 2-way Wi-Fi remote control system from Marantz. Delegates will become conversant with the Wizz.it EX editing program and how to use it to construct sophisticated graphical interfaces that can control typical home cinema or commercial AV systems from the supplied templates, or how to build one from scratch. Advanced integration with a selection of 2-way RS232 and IP controlled devices is also covered.

Your course tutor will be David Webster of RGB. You are required to bring your own laptop to enable full participation in the course. If you already have your own RC9001 to program, then please bring it along too, or you may order a system and collect it on the day. A working knowledge of setting up and configuring Ethernet/Wi-Fi networks is assumed. (Prior completion of the RGB “Networking & Wi-Fi for AV Systems” course will be sufficient).

Laptop requirements

Delegates are requested to install the Wizz.it EX software on your laptop ready for the course. The latest version can be downloaded from here along with any new versions of firmware that may become available. Your laptop should have a USB port for transfer of programs to the remote and a wired Ethernet port for configuring the RX8001 and RX9001 extenders.
